Smooth vista gradient panel

VistaPanel image

Good looking vista panel

What is it? Simply a panel with a gradient that look like the gradient used in Vista. Play with the colors and I am sure you can come up with something you like. There really isn’t more to say about this small component.

Some times I just get the idea of trying to figure out how they make that gradient, well this is my take at the Vista gradient bar. Enjoy!

    nice job you did on that component…
    another cool idea could be the implementation of the vista style glass buttons on that bar…

    i'm hopefully looking forward maybe you have the pleasure to adapt them to your gradient panel :-P

    Thank you, I might make a button that will fit on the panel but dont know when… Stay tuned.

    What are panel from screenshot colors?

  • admin

    Hi Castor69,

    Try these colors ( I do not have the exact color values),
    BottomColor:= clBtnFace;
    Color1:= clWhite;
    Color2:= clGray;
    Color3:= clTeal;
    Color4:= $00C80000;
    ColorFrame:= $00C80000;

    Regards

    $00C80000 is bad, bad, bad, very bad :(

  • http://rmklever.com/?p=182 Cool a new GlassButton! « Klever on Delphi

    [...] liked the idea of having a “glassbutton” to use on my VistaPanel. So I decided to try making one. This is the result. It sure took a lot more work than I was [...]

  • Dave…

    Excellent work Roy -

    Both your “Glass Button” and “Smooth vista gradient panel” are very impressive.
    Also, your “Glass Button” has a faster redraw speed than the TMS version when using multiple buttons!
    Keep up the good work.

    Great Stuff so far Roy!

    tried installing the VistaPanel, but dont seem to have the 'OnMouseEnter' and 'OnMouseLeave' procedures or files installed. If you could tell me how or where to get hold of required files that would be cool

    GlassButton is awesome!!
    Thanx.
